With gamers around the world finally able to get their hands on the Clone Wars video games, the more hardcore fans will be tempted to bounce through single-player mode in no time. That's like watching the TV show in fast-forward and finishing it in a third of the time; what fun is that?

If you zip through the game, you'll miss some of the little things that make it special, and you'll bypass tons of secrets that you could use to show how smart you are on the Internet! The Clone Wars video games each have their hidden moments, secret homage and passing tributes to fan-service.

For example, Jedi Alliance (the DS version) is packed with fun little tidbits like the opening scene, which is a tribute to Star Wars: A New Hope. And remember the Malevolence, a ship from the TV series? Its sister ship, the Devastation, is featured in the game. But these are just the tip of the iceberg. Read on to learn more.

  1. The Sedawan is a tuned up version of the Rebel Blockade Runner.

  2. The Nightsisters first appeared in the 1994 novel The Courtship of Princess Leia. The witch Charal was later ret-conned to be a Nightsister, though she first appeared in the 1986 made-for-TV movie, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor.

  3. The planet Dathomir is the home of the Nightsisters. The planet was uniquely re-designed to match the style of The Clone Wars TV show.

  4. The game features over 3,500 lines of recorded dialog, which has also been localized into recorded dialog for French, Spanish and German.

  5. The voices in the game use the same actors as the TV show.

  6. The games cart size is a massive 256 megabytes in size.

  7. Adegan crystals are from the planet Ilum and are the power source of a lightsaber, as first established in the Dark Empire comics in 1991-1992.

  8. Ilum was featured in the original Clone Wars micro-series cartoons, and before that, the Jedi Quest series of comics and books.

  9. The TV show and the DS game are produced in the same studio in Singapore

  10. Plo Koon is Dave Filoni's (the director of the TV show) favorite Jedi.

  11. There are 30 possible playable combinations of Jedi for each mission.

  12. Nightsisters use a modified version of the lightsaber design. The long swords have an additional two prong fork at the hilt. The Nightsisters also use a short sword variant.

  13. Over 200 concept art pieces were created for the game. Some of this concept art can be unlocked and viewed in the extras menu.

  14. The game features a scene with the Jedi being chased by a rancor. Rancors are indigenous to Dathomir, the home of the Nightsisters.

  15. The game's original title was Day of the Nightsisters, in reference to LucasArt's classic, Day of the Tentacle.

  16. The development team is truly multinational with over 15 countries represented.
